Cincuentañero Trip Alerts
Program description
Cincuentañero sends recurring SMS text messages to approved trip members about trip coordination: itinerary changes, departure reminders, booking updates, and announcements from the trip host. This is a private messaging program for a single travel group — it is not marketing or promotional.
Sample messages
- "Cincuentañero: Tomorrow's stage start moved to 7:30am from Sarria. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
- "Cincuentañero: Your albergue booking in Portomarín is confirmed for Tue Sep 8. Msg & data rates may apply."
- "Cincuentañero: Group dinner tonight at 8pm, Casa Morgade. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."
Opt-in confirmation message
After you opt in, you will receive a one-time confirmation: "Cincuentañero: You're subscribed to Camino trip updates. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel."
How to opt in
You opt in by providing your mobile phone number in your Cincuentañero profile and checking the box agreeing to receive SMS trip alerts. Opt-in is voluntary and not required to use the app.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on trip activity. Expect a small number of messages per month in normal periods, with higher frequency in the days immediately before and during the trip.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Cincuentañero does not charge for SMS, but your mobile carrier may charge you according to your plan.
How to opt out (STOP)
Reply STOP to any text message from Cincuentañero at any time to opt out. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts. You can opt back in later by re-enabling SMS in your profile.

Reply HELP to any message to receive contact information. You may also email host@cincuentanero.app for support.
Supported carriers
Compatible with all major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your mobile number is used only to send you trip alerts. See our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of services we provide (e.g., Twilio for message delivery) is permitted.
